1. Graphics card should be Nvidia or AMD Radeon graphics with 1gb dedicated as minimum. The graphics card model should not be AMD FirePro or Nvidia Quadro unless you do more video editing than gaming. To check CPU/processor generation, right click on "my computer" [for windows 7] or "this pc" [for windows 8/8.1] and go to properties, under processor you see 4 digits ie 4330 or 3370 or 2300, the 4xxx means 4th gen, 3xxx means 3rd gen and 2xxx means 2nd generation.
To check dedicated memory; go to desktop, right click and go to screen resolution, then got to advanced settings, you should now be able to see dedicated memory.
